Description

SY O-ring 150 is an FEP-encapsulated sealing ring in DN 150 format engineered for the EasySyn reactor platform. The FEP medium-contact surface combines chemical resistance with reliable sealing performance across a wide working temperature range of −60 to 200 °C, making the component suitable for diverse organic and aqueous reaction media. It fits reactor vessels of 2000 ml (SY 2000 and SY 2000 D) as well as 5000 ml (SY 5000 and SY 5000 D), ensuring a tight joint between vessel and lid during stirring, heating or cooling cycles. Supplied as a single piece weighing only 0,020 kg net, the O-ring is easy to install and replace during routine maintenance. From manufacturer IKA, this sealing element supports reproducible laboratory synthesis by maintaining system integrity under thermal cycling and mechanical stress. Laboratories performing process development, scale-up studies or multi-step organic chemistry will find it a practical spare part that preserves the leak-tight performance of their EasySyn installations.

Questions about SY O-ring 150, O-ring DN 150

What is this article?

SY O-ring 150, O-ring DN 150 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Lids & seals, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

Lids and seals are the covers of dishes, jars and tanks: a snap lid, a sealing film, a gasket. The seal is doing the work. A lid that only rests on the rim does not contain a volatile liquid.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
