Description

TE sensor head type K is a thermocouple probe head intended for air, immersion and penetration temperature measurement. Compact and lightweight, it forms the sensing element of a modular wireless probe system and supports flexible temperature monitoring in laboratory, process and facility environments. For wireless operation the matching wireless handle (0554 0189) and wireless module (0554 0188) are required; both accessories can be ordered separately when needed. The head is supplied as a single piece with a net weight of 0,03 kg, making it easy to carry and to exchange in the field. Its type-K thermocouple design ensures broad compatibility with standard instrumentation and allows the same handle platform to be used with different sensor heads. Typical uses include ambient-air checks, immersion into liquids or soft media, and penetration measurements where a compact tip is advantageous. The TE sensor head from manufacturer Testo integrates cleanly into existing modular setups, giving technicians a practical way to expand measurement capability without replacing complete instruments. Packaging volume is kept small for efficient storage and transport.

Questions about T/C probe head, T/C Type K, to measure air/immersion/penetration

What is this article?

T/C probe head, T/C Type K, to measure air/immersion/penetration is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Testo for laboratory use. It sits in Temperature probes & sensors, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.

A temperature probe is the sensor, Pt100, thermocouple or thermistor, that a meter or a logger reads. The probe, not the display, is what is calibrated. The sheath material and the response time matter in a liquid versus a block.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
