Description
testo 174 H BT is a compact mini data logger designed for continuous monitoring of temperature and relative humidity. It covers a measuring range from −20 °C to +70 °C and is well suited to storage control of temperature- and humidity-sensitive goods such as foodstuffs, archive materials and climate checks in buildings. Current readings and any limit violations are shown directly on the unit, while the internal memory holds up to 16.000 measured values. Configuration and evaluation are performed via the free testo Smart App over Bluetooth at distances of up to 30 metres, enabling straightforward report generation and data analysis without a dedicated PC interface. Automatic data backup keeps recorded values secure even if the battery is empty or being replaced. Supplied as a single unit from manufacturer Testo, this lightweight logger (net weight 0,084 kg) offers a practical solution for laboratories, warehouses and facility management where reliable temperature and humidity documentation is required.
This article is part of Data loggers, in Temperature measurement.

What is this article?
testo 174 H BT – Mini data logger for temperature and humidity with Bluetooth an is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Testo for laboratory use. It sits in Data loggers, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.
A data logger stores a temperature, a humidity or another signal over time, so a shipment or a room has a record rather than a spot reading. The interval, the memory and the sensor range are the specification. A logger that is full has stopped being a record.
A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
