Description

ThermoStat C without thermoblock 220–240 V INT is a compact temperature control base unit for heating and active cooling of common vessel and plate formats from 5 µL to 50 mL. Configured for 220–240 V / 50–60 Hz (EU) operation and supplied without a thermoblock, it offers high flexibility when paired with the wide range of Eppendorf SmartBlocks. Excellent temperature accuracy supports safe sample handling, while a fast cooling rate of up to 5 °C/min shortens waiting times. Low setpoints such as 4 °C or 0 °C remain achievable even at elevated ambient temperature. Dedicated temperature keys for 4 °C, 16 °C, 37 °C, 56 °C and 95 °C give quick access to frequently used reaction conditions. Compatibility with Eppendorf ThermoTop® (condens.protect®) helps limit condensate and improves temperature homogeneity in sample vessels up to 2,0 mL. Up to 15 program slots enable flexible device use. This ThermoStat C base unit from manufacturer Eppendorf measures 390 mm width, 290 mm height and 300 mm depth, with a net weight of 4,400 kg, and is packed as 1 pc for laboratory temperature incubation workflows.

This article is part of Hot plates & heating blocks, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about ThermoStat C w/o thermob. 220-240V INT

What is this article?

ThermoStat C w/o thermob. 220-240V INT is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Eppendorf for laboratory use. It sits in Hot plates & heating blocks, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A hot plate heats a flat-bottom vessel from below, often with stirring. A heating block holds tubes in machined holes so each tube sees the same temperature. The block's hole diameter has to match the tube, or the heat never arrives.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
