TICKOPUR KS 1 is a liquid corrosion-protection concentrate for ferrous metals after ultrasonic cleaning with TICKOPUR preparations and subsequent water rinsing. It is intended for dismantled and intact machines, tools, instruments and parts in industry, trade and laboratories, and is especially suited to SONOREX ultrasonic units as well as immersion, wipe and high-pressure treatment. When used correctly it supports effective indoor-storage protection. The solvent-free, biodegradable concentrate from manufacturer Bandelin protects grey cast iron, hard metals and unprotected steels of widely varying alloys against corrosion, while helping remove residual cleaning solutions and soils from the final wash or rinse bath. After drying the film is neither oily nor greasy. With ultrasound, dose at 0,2–2,0 % for 0,5–2 minutes at 20–80 °C; without ultrasound, 0,5–2,0 % for 2–5 minutes in the same temperature range. Solutions from 1,5 % prepared with tap water may cloud; demineralised water avoids turbidity. Ensure complete wetting and vent hollow bodies fully; ultrasonic rinsing aids complex geometries. Warming the working solution up to 80 °C promotes rapid drying by residual heat; drying must not exceed 130 °C. The protection is water-rinsable. Suitable for all ferrous metals; preliminary compatibility tests are recommended for sensitive materials. Supplied as a 5,0 litre pack.
