Description
TICKOPUR R 27 is a phosphoric acid-based special cleaner concentrate formulated for descaling and derusting in ultrasonic baths as well as immersion and wipe cleaning. It removes strong mineral deposits such as lime, silicates, phosphates and cements, together with rust, temper colours, metal oxides and grease or oil films from steel, stainless steel, precious metals, glass, ceramics, plastics and rubber. The liquid, highly concentrated preparation is intended especially for use in SONOREX ultrasonic units from manufacturer Bandelin, yet remains suitable for conventional soaking and wiping. At 1 % dilution the solution shows pH 1,9; it is emulsifying and biodegradable. Typical ultrasonic dosing is 5 % for 2–10 minutes at 20–60 °C; without ultrasound, 10–20 % with contact times up to 12 hours at the same temperature range is recommended. Raise temperature to a maximum of 60 °C to accelerate cleaning, ensure full wetting of hollow parts, and rinse thoroughly with water, preferably demineralised water, afterwards. Exercise caution with tin, zinc, light metals and unprotected steel; preliminary compatibility tests are advised for sensitive materials.
