Description

Vacuum oven 2.3 cu. ft. (65,1 L) is a laboratory vacuum drying unit designed for drying, curing, vacuum embedding and coating work up to 220 °C. The chamber provides 65,1 L working volume with interior dimensions of 51 × 36 × 36 cm and is fitted with two removable aluminium shelves. A built-in wall heating system supports uniform temperature distribution while 7,6 cm glass-wool insulation limits heat loss. Independent vacuum and purge needle valves, together with front-mounted three-way valves, allow evacuation, venting and inert-gas purging (for example nitrogen or argon). Corrosion-resistant stainless-steel vacuum and air lines, a type-304 stainless-steel interior and a silicone door gasket with positive latch maintain chamber cleanliness and reliable sealing across the full vacuum range of 0–30 in.Hg. The exterior is heavy-gauge powder-coated steel; the door incorporates polycarbonate safety glass. Temperature is controlled by hydraulic thermostat with dial (bimetallic) display in 5 °C increments, offering ±1,5 °C control and ±5,0 °C uniformity at 100 °C under 635 mmHg. Electrical supply is 240 V, 1600 W, 6,7 A, 50/60 Hz. This configuration is supplied from manufacturer Thermo Scientific and suits routine vacuum-oven applications requiring straightforward dial indication.

What is this article?

Vacuum Ovens 2.3 cu. ft. (65.1L); 240V 1600w 6.7A; Dial display 2.3 cu.ft., is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Equipment LED for laboratory use. It sits in Drying ovens & climate chambers, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A drying oven holds a temperature above ambient to drive off water or to condition a sample. A climate chamber also holds humidity. Uniformity across the chamber, not only the set point, decides whether two samples on different shelves saw the same conditions.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
