Description
Waterproof multiparameter handheld meter with HI7698194/10 probe and 10 m cable delivers laboratory-grade water-quality readings directly in the field or production environment. The instrument measures and simultaneously displays up to 12 parameters, including pH, redox potential, conductivity and its derived quantities (TDS, resistivity, salinity), dissolved oxygen and temperature. Digital data transmission from the multisensor probe enables clear numeric and graphic presentation plus on-board recording. Up to three colour-coded sensors screw into the probe and are recognised automatically; unused channels are simply omitted from configuration. Calibration can be performed as a rapid single-point routine with HI9828-25 solution or as a multi-point standard calibration for pH, conductivity and dissolved oxygen. An integrated temperature sensor provides automatic compensation, while the built-in barometer supplies automatic pressure compensation for oxygen readings. Meter and probe are rated IP67 and IP68 respectively and link via a waterproof Quick Connect DIN connector. GLP data storage and logging capacity for up to 45 000 readings support traceable work. This battery-powered handheld system from manufacturer Hanna Instruments is configured for extended-reach applications with the 10 m cable probe.

Questions about Waterproof multiparameter portable meter with HI7698194/10 probe, 10 m cable
What is this article?
Waterproof multiparameter portable meter with HI7698194/10 probe, 10 m cable is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hanna Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in Dissolved oxygen & multiparameter meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.
A dissolved-oxygen meter reads oxygen in a liquid, optically or with a Clark cell. A multiparameter meter adds pH, conductivity or both on one instrument. The sensor cap or the membrane is the consumable. A reading in air and a reading in water are different calibrations.
A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
