Description

OIML calibration weight 2 kg Class F2 in two-piece construction without certificate is an individual calibration weight intended for accurate verification of balances and scales in laboratory and industrial environments. Fabricated from Troemner Alloy 8 stainless steel that provides a tightly controlled density of 8,03 g/cm³, the weight combines extremely low magnetic susceptibility with high mechanical stability and corrosion resistance. Surfaces are finished to a high-gloss, mirror-smooth polish that meets or exceeds OIML R 111 specifications, allowing scratches or contaminants to be readily detected and thereby supporting long-term mass stability. Each weight is delivered in a robust protective case that keeps the piece secure, clean and dust-free during storage and transport. This Class F2 weight from manufacturer Ohaus forms part of the OIML individual calibration weight range covering tolerances of classes E1, E2, F1 and F2. Nominal net mass is 2 kg with a height of 90,02 mm; the unit is supplied as a single piece ready for routine calibration work where Class F2 accuracy is required.

Questions about Weight 2P OIML 2kg CLF2 No Cert TR

What is this article?

Weight 2P OIML 2kg CLF2 No Cert TR is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Ohaus for laboratory use. It sits in Calibration & test weights, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.

A test weight is a mass of a stated class, used to check a balance. The class sets the tolerance. A weight that is dirty, or that has been handled with bare fingers, is no longer that class. The certificate ties the weight to a standard.

A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
