Whirl-Pak® plastic bags with write-on strip and filter measure 150×230 mm and are supplied sterile in polyethylene (PE). Each bag incorporates a finely perforated polyethylene filter layer that separates liquid from solids, allowing the liquid portion of a sample to be pipetted easily. The filter is sealed into the bag perimeter along the sides and bottom, so the sample can be placed on either side of the membrane. Liquid passes through the filter while solids remain retained on one side, simplifying clarification steps prior to analysis or further processing. A dedicated writing field supports clear sample identification.
