Description
BOLA Thermocouple K is a type K temperature sensor (NiCr–Ni) built into a PTFE-coated stainless steel tube (1.4571) for laboratory and process use. The PTFE jacket adds chemical resistance while the stainless steel body provides mechanical strength. Probe diameter is 8 mm with a pointed sensing tip and a 12 mm drop-protection ring for secure handling. Connection is made via a green 1,5 m PFA-coated cable with free strands in 2-wire technique and without a plug connector. Typical response times are approximately T50 of 25 s and T90 of 59 s. Usable probe length is 300 mm and overall length is about 340 mm. This thermocouple from manufacturer Bohlender is intended for applications that need a pointed, PTFE-protected type K sensor with open cable ends. Net weight is 0,103 kg. Supplied as a single piece.

What is this article?
BOLA Temperature Probes K, Ø 8 mm, L 340 mm Usable Length 300 mm, without plug, is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Sondes & capteurs de température, inside Mesure de température, in Instruments de laboratoire.
A temperature probe is the sensor, Pt100, thermocouple or thermistor, that a meter or a logger reads. The probe, not the display, is what is calibrated. The sheath material and the response time matter in a liquid versus a block.
A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
