De diepevorstingsensor (NTC) wordt voornamelijk gebruikt voor het meten van de kerntemperatuur van diepvriesproducten. Dankzij een speciale handgreep en de helixvormige punt kan deze direct in bevroren voedsel worden geschroefd zonder voorboren. De sensor voldoet aan EN 13485 en HACCP, waardoor hij bijzonder praktisch is voor gebruik in de voedingssector wanneer hij is aangesloten op een bijbehorend meetinstrument (bijv. testo 110). De speciale handgreep is hittebestendig tot een temperatuur van +70 °C.
