Description
HRC 2 lite S003 is a compact refrigerated and heating circulator designed for simple tempering tasks from −10 to 100 °C. Strong 400 W cooling and 1000 W heating make it a practical peripheral device for laboratory and bioreactors, open baths, or as a temperature source for measuring instruments. The compact, space-saving design finds a place even in crowded labs. An accessible stainless-steel mesh filter that is easy to clean helps ensure stable cooling performance over years of service. Thanks to a fill volume of only one litre, set temperatures are reached particularly quickly, while the 2,5 litre working volume covers a wide range of external applications without refilling tempering fluid. Fill level is monitored through a large illuminated sight glass. The powerful pressure and suction pump supports demanding applications and external open-bath use together with a level controller. Natural refrigerant R290 makes the unit especially sustainable for long-term operation. Lite-series instruments from manufacturer IKA are equipped with RS 232 and USB interfaces for direct device-to-device communication with a main unit and for control and monitoring via labworldsoft® and other laboratory software. This model is fitted with a Swiss plug.

Questions about HRC 2 lite S003, Cooling and heating circulator with Swiss plug
What is this article?
HRC 2 lite S003, Cooling and heating circulator with Swiss plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Circulators, chillers & thermostats, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Instruments de précision.
A circulator or thermostat holds a bath liquid at a set temperature and pumps it through a jacket. A chiller is the same idea aimed below ambient. The temperature range, the cooling power and the pump flow are the three numbers. The fluid has to match the range.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
