Description

Immersion resistance thermometer, Pt100 Ø 3 x 250 mm is a precision immersion temperature probe for laboratory and process measurement. Configured as a Pt100 sensor according to DIN EN 60751 Class AA and wired in 4-conductor technique, it supports accurate temperature determination over an application range from −50 °C to +250 °C. The stainless-steel sheathed measuring section has a mantle diameter of 3 mm and a nominal immersion length of 250 mm. A stainless-steel transition sleeve measuring ø 6 x 40 mm provides a fixed transition to the permanently connected lead. That lead consists of four 0,22 mm² conductors insulated with Teflon/silicone, extends 2 m, and is protected at the cable exit by heat-shrink tubing approximately 50 mm long. Termination is via a Physics plug with 0,001 °C resolution (FS7P3), so the unit pairs directly with PHYSICS 1000 instrumentation. Offered as one piece from manufacturer Schneider under product type WT-MI-303, this immersion resistance thermometer combines Class AA metrology with a durable metal sheath for routine immersion temperature work in research and quality-control settings.

Questions about Immersion-resistance thermometer, Pt100 Ø 3x250 mm

What is this article?

Immersion-resistance thermometer, Pt100 Ø 3x250 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Schneider for laboratory use. It sits in Temperature probes & sensors, inside Temperature measurement, in Instruments de précision.

A temperature probe is the sensor, Pt100, thermocouple or thermistor, that a meter or a logger reads. The probe, not the display, is what is calibrated. The sheath material and the response time matter in a liquid versus a block.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
