Description

IR thermometer "Multi-Beam" is a non-contact infrared instrument for rapid surface temperature measurement across a range of -60 °C to +500 °C (-76 °F to +932 °F). Multi-Beam laser sighting indicates the actual measurement spot, supporting precise aiming at a distance-to-spot ratio of 12:1. Readings are obtained in approximately one second, with simultaneous display of the current temperature and maximum value plus backlight for low-light conditions. Stated accuracy is ±1 °C to ±3 °C depending on the measuring range. Compact dimensions of 49 × 85 × 185 mm and a weight of 159 g favour handheld use in laboratory, production or maintenance settings. Two 1,5 V AAA batteries are included. This infrared thermometer from manufacturer LAT is intended for contactless surface checks where probe contact is impractical or undesirable, combining clear laser targeting with fast dual temperature readout for efficient spot measurements.

This article is part of Infrared thermometers, in Temperature measurement.

Questions about IR-Thermometer ''Multi-Beam'', Messbereich: -60°C bis +500°C

What is this article?

IR-Thermometer ''Multi-Beam'', Messbereich: -60°C bis +500°C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes LAT for laboratory use. It sits in Infrared thermometers, inside Temperature measurement, in Instruments de laboratoire.

An infrared thermometer reads a surface by its radiation. The reading depends on emissivity: a shiny metal lies unless the setting is changed. It does not read the inside of a bottle. Distance and spot size decide which surface is actually measured.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
