Tube Mill 100 control S003 is a patented batch analytical mill that works with disposable grinding cups, preventing cross-contamination and removing the need for cleaning between runs. It accepts larger grinding cups with a maximum volume of 100 ml (MT 100); cups and cover hood are transparent so milling can be observed continuously. The mill handles hard (up to Mohs hardness 5), brittle and dry materials and is particularly suitable for grinding seeds such as maize and wheat. The drive starts only with the hood closed, ensuring safe operation. Features include a clear multilingual OLED display with error indication, a timer from 5 s to 3 min, USB interface for control and documentation, switchable interval operation, stepless speed adjustment from 5.000 to 25,000 rpm, various operating modes, adjustable safety speed and time limits, programmable and storable experimental conditions, reproducible results and a touch keypad. Supplied with a Swiss plug as a single unit from manufacturer IKA, the instrument has a net weight of 4,600 kg.
