Sieve accessories are the lid, the pan and the intermediate rings that close a stack. The receiver pan is where the fines end. A lid from a different frame diameter does not seal the stack.

A sieve shaker repeats the motion so the result does not depend on how hard someone shook by hand. A mill or grinder makes the particles smaller before they are sieved.
