Vortex 3 S002 is a compact orbital shaker supplied with a UK plug, intended for short-term touch-activated mixing or continuous operation. It provides circular motion with a 4 mm shaking stroke and a wide continuously adjustable speed range from 0 to 2500 rpm. Variable use is supported by three attachments and seven inserts for tubes, microtiter plates, Erlenmeyer flasks up to 250 ml and similar vessels (ordered separately). Click fastening allows attachments to be mounted in any position, and a special tension belt (VG 3.36) eases handling of round or Erlenmeyer flasks. A robust zinc die-cast housing, ball-bearing eccentric and self-ventilated motor enable continuous duty with low self-heating.
