bioMIXdrive 2 is a dual-point magnetic stirring system engineered for cell-friendly mixing of suspensions and culture broths in continuous, heat-free operation, for example inside CO2 incubators. Its maintenance-free 2mag stepper-motor drive enables extremely slow and fully jerk-free agitation from 5 to 250 rpm, with uniform stirring even at the lowest speeds, and is compatible with culture bottles using suspended, rotating or pendulum stirrer systems. Two stirring positions spaced 140 mm apart handle 5 to 5,000 ml per position, including viscous media, at up to 5 W per point on a large working area. The stainless-steel housing is fully potted and hermetically sealed to IP68, remaining water-, dust- and germ-tight, robust, easy to clean and suitable for immersion in water baths during long-term incubator use. Permissible operation spans −10 to +50 °C at 100 % humidity or +50 °C submerged; external dimensions are 130 × 270 × 38 mm and shipping weight is about 2,9 kg. From manufacturer 2mag (developed and made in Germany), the bioMIXcontrol controller must be ordered separately. Material and manufacturing defects are covered by a three-year warranty.
