MIXcontrol XL control unit for MIXdrive 1 XL is a powerful laboratory controller providing up to 20 W stirring power over a speed range of 70–2,000 rpm for reliable magnetic stirring. Four-stage power setting (25/50/75/100 %), variable SoftStart acceleration and adjustable interval times up to 240 s support secure catch, centring and restart of the stir bar. Integrated mixWATCH stir-bar monitoring detects loss of magnetic coupling, stops the drive, recentres the bar and gently re-accelerates while automatically lowering the set speed by 100 rpm, enabling safer unattended operation. A digital display covers speed and interval adjustment, with QuickSet for fast start or maximum speed entry and QuickStop to limit overshoot and glass breakage; the last operating state is stored on switch-off. Stainless-steel housing measures 200 × 155 × 38 mm, protection class IP20, net weight 1,6 kg. RS232 is fitted as standard; further interfaces and custom housing options are available on request. Developed and made in Germany by manufacturer 2mag, the unit is designed for ambient operation from 0 to +40 °C with MIXdrive 1 XL drives.
