MIXdrive 12 MTP stirring system with external control is an ultra-flat, wear-free magnetic stirrer optimised for 12-well microtiter plates. It provides 12 stirring positions in a 3×4 layout with 26 mm spacing and a 100 % wear- and maintenance-free induction drive for powerful, fully synchronous and jerk-free mixing even at low speeds. Each position handles up to 7 ml; maximum stirring power is 10 W. The hermetically sealed stainless-steel housing is completely encapsulated to IP68, making the unit water-, dust- and germ-tight, easy to clean and highly resistant. It can be immersed in water or oil baths and is suitable for CO2 incubators and ovens. The Basic version operates from −10 to +50 °C in air and up to +50 °C when submerged; removable centring pins support robotic use. Developed and made in Germany by manufacturer 2mag, the stirrer carries a three-year warranty on material and manufacturing defects. The MIXcontrol MTP controller must be ordered separately. Compact dimensions are 140 × 102 × 26 mm with a shipping weight of approximately 1,3 kg.
