Description
3D Sample Container for Light Sheet Microscopy is a specialised sample holder developed together with researchers for light-sheet imaging of cleared tissue pieces. External dimensions are approximately 55 × 55 × 38 mm, with a fill volume to the overflow rim of about 47 ml and an overflow-space height of roughly 10 mm. The light-entry wall is inclined about 1,9° from the vertical, tilting upward and outward. Made from optically high-grade, chemically resistant plastic with a glass-like refractive index of approximately 1,5 (Marienfeld), the container is suitable for all common aqueous and solvent-based embedding media. In light-sheet microscopy the tissue is illuminated through the side walls by a thin laser light sheet while the specimen is scanned vertically relative to the sheet; fluorescence from successive planes is recorded from above and reconstructed in 3D visualisation software. The square top view provides four numbered light-entry walls enclosing a usable sample space of about 40 × 40 × 25 mm. An upward-flared rim eases filling, shifts edge menisci outside the observation field for distortion-free imaging through the liquid surface with non-immersion dry objectives, supports secure handling and offers space for labelling or stickers. The opening accommodates immersion objectives and multi-side illumination. Containers are stackable and packed in units of 10 pieces.

Questions about 3D sample holders for light sheet microscopy
What is this article?
3D sample holders for light sheet microscopy is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Sample containers & jars, inside Bottles & containers, in Matériel de laboratoire.
A sample container or jar is the vessel the sample travels in, with a closure that survives the trip. The volume and the liner decide whether the sample that arrives is the sample that was taken.
A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
Which category should I open next?

Shelves beside this one are Laboratory glass bottles, Plastic bottles (narrow & wide mouth), Canisters & jerrycans, Wash bottles and Bottle accessories (pouring rings, dispensers, caps).
What should I check before I order?
When this page shows a safety data sheet, use that manufacturer file. Hazard text does not belong in the sales description. For a pack size, a grade or a certificate that is not on the page, send a quote request or contact the team.
