Description

DURAN® tall-form beaker 1000 ml with graduation and spout is a laboratory glassware vessel made from borosilicate glass 3.3. White graduations support approximate volume reading during sample preparation, reagent mixing and heating, while the integrated spout allows controlled pouring of liquids. With a height of 180 mm and an outer diameter of 95 mm, the high-form geometry offers a practical working profile for stirring and observation on the bench or under a fume hood. The beaker is produced in accordance with DIN 12 331 and carries the registered DURAN® trademark for borosilicate laboratory glass. Available from manufacturer Hirschmann, it suits analytical, research and teaching laboratories that need chemically resistant glassware for everyday wet-chemistry workflows. The nominal volume is 1 l (1000 ml). Units are supplied in packs of 10 pieces, convenient for equipping several workstations or restocking central glassware stores. Borosilicate glass 3.3 provides the thermal and chemical durability expected of quality laboratory beakers when handling aqueous solutions and many common laboratory media under normal operating conditions.

This article is part of Beakers, in Beakers & flasks.

Questions about BEAKER TALL FORM DURAN 1000 ML, WITH GRADUATION AND SPOUT

What is this article?

BEAKER TALL FORM DURAN 1000 ML, WITH GRADUATION AND SPOUT is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hirschmann for laboratory use. It sits in Beakers, inside Beakers & flasks, in Matériel de laboratoire.

A beaker is an open, straight-sided working vessel with a spout. It is for dissolving, heating and pouring. The graduations are a guide, not a volumetric calibration. Low form and tall form differ in stability and in how easily a liquid splashes.

A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
