Description
Bioreactor 5 l MyFerm is a glass reactor with a nominal volume of approximately 5 l, intended for incubation of microorganisms and cells. The vessel is manufactured from chemically resistant borosilicate glass offering high durability, and all media-contacting parts are glass or PTFE/PP. The full bioreactor is autoclavable at 121 °C. Temperature control of the medium is provided by the available tempering coil in combination with an external circulating thermostat. Three baffles built into the glass reactor promote effective mixing with a magnetic stirrer. In addition to feeding, the ports can be used for gassing, exhaust-air filtration with external PTFE filters, sampling and reactor emptying, and process monitoring. Approximate overall dimensions are height ca. 360 mm and diameter 190 mm. Supplied as a configurable MyFerm unit from manufacturer Landgraf HLL, the bioreactor is assembled on a modular principle so that accessories and options can be selected to match the required laboratory process.
