The system pairs a professional reference scale KERN CFS 300-3 with a high-capacity quantity scale KERN KFP 6V20M, so a wide range of individual balances can be replaced cost-effectively and efficiently. The reference scale is also usable on its own and, when connected to a high-load weighing bridge, meets demanding accuracy requirements. Desired reference piece count and known reference weight are programmable via the keypad. Three displays present weight, reference weight and total piece count. Article memory (PLU) stores items with additional text, reference weight and tare weight, for example of a container. A fill-to-target function lets users program target piece count or target weight; reaching the target is indicated by acoustic and optical signals. Automatic reference optimisation stepwise improves the average part weight for precise counting. Quantity counting takes place with high precision on the weighing platform of the KFP 6V20M, which has a stainless steel plate, painted steel substructure, aluminium single-point load cell (1×3000 e) and IP65 dust and splash protection.
