Description

Digital coating thickness gauge SAUTER TG 1250-0.1FN is a premium instrument for measuring paint layers, lacquer coatings and similar surface films. An external sensor eases access to hard-to-reach measuring points, while a backlit LCD presents all key information at a glance. Offset-Accur two-point calibration allows the device to be matched precisely to the intended measuring range, supporting higher precision of 1 % or less of the measured value. Operators can choose single measurement or continuous scan mode, and a mini statistics function displays the current reading together with average, maximum and minimum values. Internal memory stores up to 99 measured values, with selectable units in µm or inch (mil). A zero plate and adjustment foils are included, and an RS-232 data interface is provided as standard. Delivered in a robust carrying case as 1 piece from manufacturer Kern, the gauge is suited to quality control, inspection and laboratory coating assessment where portable, repeatable thickness data are required.

This article is part of Hygrometers & humidity meters, in Temperature measurement.

Questions about Digital Coating Thickness Gauge SAUTER, TG 1250-0.1FN

What is this article?

Digital Coating Thickness Gauge SAUTER, TG 1250-0.1FN is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes KERN for laboratory use. It sits in Hygrometers & humidity meters, inside Temperature measurement, in Instruments de laboratoire.

A hygrometer measures the water in the air, as relative humidity or as dew point. It is the instrument for a desiccator room, a stability chamber or a store. The sensor drifts, and the calibration is part of believing the number.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
