Dividing head POM 3 samples complete L-27 is a precision sample divider head designed for representative splitting of solid materials and suspensions that do not generate abrasive wear on plastic surfaces. Constructed from POM plastic, it offers a fixed division ratio of 1:30 and produces three equal partial quantities. Maximum feed particle size is 2,5 mm and maximum sample volume reaches 300 ml; both dry and wet division are supported. Useful volumes of the sample glasses are 15 ml, 20 ml and 30 ml. The complete unit is delivered as standard with three 15 ml sample glasses fitted with screw caps, one 10 mm diameter funnel, plus one 5 mm diameter funnel each for dry and wet operation. Net weight is 4,0 kg. This dividing head from manufacturer Fritsch is intended for laboratory sample preparation where non-abrasive materials must be divided accurately and reproducibly. An alternative PTFE-coated aluminium version is available separately for aggressive solids and suspensions that attack POM or aluminium.
