Description
DURAN® flat flange reaction vessel DN 60, 100 mL, flange with groove is a large-volume laboratory reaction vessel designed as a practical alternative to conventional round-bottom flasks. Fabricated from borosilicate glass 3.3, it consists of a lower body and a matching lid secured by a clamping ring. A gasket or ground-joint grease prevents the ground surfaces from seizing. Standard ground joints in the lid enable combination with accessories such as dropping funnels, stirrer shafts and other fittings. The flange incorporates a groove that accepts an O-ring for a reliable, tight seal. Geometry and substantial wall thickness make the vessel pressure- and vacuum-resistant, permitting safe operation up to the technically maximum attainable vacuum when safety instructions are observed. Vessels of this capacity remain fully cylindrical. Permanent white print is fired into the glass for lasting durability. Well suited to preparative work including general reactions, distillations, evaporations and drying of solid or viscous substances, this vessel from Duran/DWK Life Sciences supports chemically and thermally demanding laboratory processes under pressure or vacuum.

Questions about DURAN® Flat Flange Reaction Vessel, flange with groove
What is this article?
DURAN® Flat Flange Reaction Vessel, flange with groove is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Microcentrifuge & reaction tubes, inside Microplates, PCR & reaction tubes, in Consommables.
A microcentrifuge tube, the familiar 1.5 mL or 2 mL flip-cap tube, holds a small reaction or a spin-down. The cap style, the centrifugal-force rating and whether the tube is low-binding are the specification. A PCR tube is thinner and is a different article.
A microplate is an array of wells so the same step can be done many times. A deep-well plate holds more volume. A PCR plate or a strip of tubes is thin-walled so the temperature of a cycler reaches the liquid quickly. A seal keeps the well from evaporating. The well number, the working volume and whether the plate is skirted for a robot are the choices. Diagnostic test systems are listed under ISO in vitro diagnostic systems. Methods are on PubMed.
