DURAN® GLS 80® Stirred Reactor System, Wide Neck is a complete screw-cap stirring assembly for 500 ml, 1000 ml and 2000 ml DURAN® GLS 80® laboratory bottles. It comprises a wide-neck GLS 80® screw closure fitted with an anchor magnetic stirrer and adjustable stirrer shaft, enabling efficient mixing of liquids, dissolution of solids, fermentation, hydrolysis or cell-culture work. The floating impeller delivers superior mixing compared with conventional magnetic stir bars and can be driven by any standard laboratory magnetic stirrer up to 500 rpm. Four threaded ports (2 × GL 14 and 2 × GL 18) permit addition or withdrawal of media, gases or probes during operation; compatible GL 45 / GLS 80 connection components accept tubing from 1,6 mm to 12,0 mm outer diameter. All parts are fully autoclavable and fabricated from chemically resistant PP, PTFE, PEEK and stainless steel, making the system suitable as a low-cost bioreactor or continuous-flow stirred reactor. A shorter shaft is available separately for 250 ml GLS 80® bottles. Supplied as one unit from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, the system offers flexible, food-contact-compliant laboratory mixing.
