DURAN® Spherical Joint Ball, imperial size S 29/15 is a precision-ground glass component designed for flexible laboratory connections. Manufactured from borosilicate glass 3.3, this spherical joint ball follows DIN 12244 and DIN 12264 and enables bendable, flexible joints of up to 15°, depending on joint size. At angles greater than 5° a reduction in tightness must be expected. The nominal size is derived from the nominal diameter of the spherical joint and, where applicable, the clear width of the tube diameter. Joint connections should be used with joint grease or PTFE sleeves; spherical joint clamps with locking screw provide secure fastening.
