Description
Extraction system SER 148/3 is a Randall-method laboratory extractor designed for rapid determination of soluble constituents such as fats, plasticizers and pesticides. Compared with classical Soxhlet extraction it delivers results up to five times faster while consuming less solvent and lowering the cost per analysis. Full operator protection is provided in accordance with IP55. Typical matrices include foodstuffs, animal feed, rubber and plastic articles, pharmaceutical products and soil. Each vessel accepts a maximum volume of 150 ml; working temperature ranges from 100 to 260 °C and sample masses from 0,5 to 15 g (commonly 2–3 g) are processed. Solvent recovery reaches 50–75 % with reproducibility better than 1 %. An RS232 interface supports data transfer. The three-position unit draws 500 W and measures 480 × 620 × 390 mm at approximately 30 kg. Supplied as a complete system from manufacturer LAT, the SER 148/3 offers a compact, efficient solution for routine quantitative extraction work in analytical and quality-control laboratories.

Questions about Extraktionssystem SER 148/3
What is this article?
Extraktionssystem SER 148/3 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes LAT for laboratory use. It sits in Laboratory glass thermometers, inside Temperature measurement, in Instruments de laboratoire.
A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column, often with a stated immersion depth, total or partial. The range and the division decide the reading. A partial-immersion thermometer read at the wrong depth is wrong by design.
A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
