Description
Heating jacket for cell culture flask MyFerm 20 litre provides even, stable and homogeneous tempering of reaction vessels and fermenters across the outer mantle, eliminating the need for elaborate double-walled containers. Sized for vessels of about 290 mm diameter, the jacket is 180 mm high and 860 mm wide and offers a heating capacity of approximately 500 W at 230 V AC. A permanently installed PT-100 sensor with 1,5 m cable and diode-plug connection ensures accurate feedback, while an integrated temperature limiter at 100 °C adds an extra layer of process safety. Freely selectable setpoints within +30 °C to +70 °C allow many operating conditions to be reproduced. The jacket can be operated with the internal sensor or an external probe. Supplied as a Landgraf HLL accessory for MyFerm systems, it requires the electronic controller L14020TER and is well suited to laboratory cell culture, fermentation and reaction-vessel heating applications where jacket-based temperature control is preferred.
This article is part of Cell culture flasks, in Cell culture.

Questions about Heating sleeve for MyFerm 20 litre cell culture flask
What is this article?
Heating sleeve for MyFerm 20 litre cell culture flask is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Landgraf HLL for laboratory use. It sits in Cell culture flasks, inside Cell culture, in Milieux microbiologiques.
A culture flask is a flat vessel with a cap, treated so adherent cells attach, or untreated for suspension cells. Growth area in square centimetres, the cap filter or a plug seal, and the treatment are the specification. A filter cap allows gas exchange. A plug seal does not.
Cell culture grows cells outside the body. The medium, often with serum, supplies what the flask does not. A flask or a dish is the vessel, treated so the cells attach or left untreated so they float. Contamination by microbes, or by another cell line, is the ordinary failure. Cold-chain articles in this work, including serum, are never part of free standard delivery. Lines are catalogued by ATCC. Papers are on PubMed. Practice is summarised by the WHO laboratory biosafety topic.
