HRC 2 lite S002 is a compact refrigerated and heating circulator for straightforward temperature control from −10 to 100 °C. With 400 W cooling capacity and 1000 W heating power, it is well suited as a peripheral unit for tempering laboratory and bioreactors, open baths, or as a temperature source for measuring instruments. Its space-saving footprint fits even confined laboratory layouts. A readily accessible, easy-to-clean stainless-steel mesh filter helps maintain consistently high cooling performance over extended use. The low fill volume of only one litre allows target temperatures to be reached quickly, while the 2,5 litre working volume supports many external applications without frequent top-up of tempering fluid. Reservoir level is read via a large illuminated sight glass. A powerful pressure and suction pump enables demanding duties and external open-bath work when combined with a level controller. Natural refrigerant R290 supports sustainable long-term operation. Lite-series units from manufacturer IKA include RS 232 and USB interfaces for direct device-to-device control from a main instrument, as well as control and monitoring via labworldsoft® and other laboratory software.
