Its platform uses a stainless steel weighing plate on a painted steel substructure together with a silicone-coated aluminium load cell protected to IP65 against dust and splash water. Spirit level and levelling feet come as standard to ensure exact alignment and accurate weighing. Optional battery operation plus compact, light construction make the scale easy to move between laboratory, production, quality inspection and picking areas. Checkweighing supports portioning, dosing or sorting with optical and acoustic signals, and the Hold function calculates a stable average under restless weighing conditions. Delivery includes a bench stand with wall mount for the indicator and a protective working cover. Via the KERN Communication Protocol (KCP) from manufacturer Kern, the balance can be queried and controlled remotely; KCP is largely compatible with MT-SICS and simplifies integration into computer and industrial control systems.
