The platform is built with a stainless steel weighing plate, a painted steel substructure and a silicone-coated aluminium load cell offering IP65 protection against dust and splash water. A spirit level and adjustable feet are supplied as standard so the scale can be levelled precisely for accurate results. Checkweighing with optical and acoustic signals assists portioning, dosing or sorting tasks, and the hold function generates a stable weight value by averaging when conditions are unsettled. Delivery includes a table stand with wall bracket for the evaluation unit plus a protective working cover. External controllers or computers can query and remotely operate the instrument via the KERN Communication Protocol (KCP) from manufacturer Kern; this standardised interface command set is largely compatible with MT-SICS and simplifies integration into computers, industrial controls and other digital systems.
