Description
LBX 3 Bench Scale (LATITUDE) is a compact industrial bench scale with a maximum capacity of 3 kg and a readability of 0,5 g. It features a stainless steel weighing pan measuring 245 × 180 mm and supports weighing, piece counting, percent weighing, checkweighing and a hold function for flexible use in laboratory and production environments. A bright backlit LCD remains clearly legible even in poor lighting, while LED check lights indicate when set limits are reached during checkweighing. The weighing mechanism is protected by strong overload protection, and the sealed keypad helps guard against dirt and accidental splashes. Height-adjustable high-quality rubber feet provide a secure, stable stance on the work surface. An internal battery is included for cordless operation of approximately 240 hours, with automatic shut-off available and a mains adapter supplied as standard. Calibration is external; the scale is not legal for trade and has no data interface. This robust unit from manufacturer AE Adam is built for demanding industrial applications where dependable everyday weighing is required.

Questions about LBX 3 Tischwaage (LATITUDE)
What is this article?
LBX 3 Tischwaage (LATITUDE) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes AE Adam for laboratory use. It sits in Bench, platform & industrial scales, inside Balances & scales, in Instruments de laboratoire.
A bench, platform or industrial scale takes kilograms to tonnes, with a platform instead of a small pan. Resolution is coarser. The load cell and the platform size are the specification. It is the scale for a drum or a packed goods check, not for a milligram of standard.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
