Description
LR-5.ST the Versatile is a modular laboratory reactor for optimising and reproducing chemical reaction, mixing and homogenising processes at the 5 litre laboratory scale. The system is distinguished by its stirrer shaft mount, which safely transmits the high torque of the overhead stirrer. Direction of rotation can be reversed, improving mixing of aqueous solutions. Free ports in the reactor lid accept dispersing devices (ULTRA-TURRAX®), temperature sensors, flow breakers and further accessories. The reactor is suitable for vacuum operation down to 25 mbar and uses product-contact seals made of solvent- and temperature-resistant perfluoroelastomer (FFPM). Speed is continuously adjustable; an integrated torque trend display indicates viscosity changes, while microprocessor control holds the set speed constant under load. A removable Wireless Controller (WiCo) supports safe operation in a fume hood. For highly viscous media the LR-5.ST the High-Performer is recommended. Supplied as a complete system from manufacturer IKA, the LR-5.ST comprises stand system, EUROSTAR 100 control laboratory stirrer, safety shut-off and reactor lid, ready for flexible 5 litre process development work.
