Description
PHYSICS 300-2 is a digital measuring instrument for precision measurements, fitted with two input sockets that cover more than 70 measuring ranges. Compatible sensors include thermocouples, resistance thermometers, NTC probes, humidity and pressure sensors among others. Galvanic isolation is realised with semiconductor relays (50 V), and four function channels support dual probes plus internal calculations such as difference. The Delta-Sigma 16-bit AD converter runs at 2,5 or 10 measurements per second and delivers a temperature resolution of 0,01 °C. Intelligent probe indication supplies sensor-specific functions including cold-junction compensation. Measurement tools comprise live value, zeroing, setpoint adjustment, two-point adjustment and optional multi-point temperature calibration. Freely configurable menus present data numerically or as bar graphs; Max/Min values, time averages and sleep mode enable long-term recording. Two output sockets, three Mignon alkaline batteries and a mains-adapter input are provided, with multilingual menus. Probe supply is 9 V (max. 150 mA) on battery or 12 V (max. 150 mA) on mains. Housing dimensions are 127 × 83 × 42 mm at about 0,29 kg, with IP54 protection. This instrument from manufacturer Schneider is supplied as 1 piece for laboratory climate and temperature applications.
This article is part of Temperature measurement accessories, in Temperature measurement.

Questions about Measuring device PHYSICS 300-2, 2 input channels
What is this article?
Measuring device PHYSICS 300-2, 2 input channels is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Schneider for laboratory use. It sits in Temperature measurement accessories, inside Temperature measurement, in Instruments de laboratoire.
These are the connectors, the wells and the spare probes that complete a thermometer or a logger. A thermocouple connector of the wrong type silently adds an error. The accessory has to be the same sensor family as the meter.
A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
Which category should I open next?
