Description
Multiparameter Photometer for Boilers/Cooling Towers, 230V is a compact laboratory and field instrument for monitoring water chemistry in steam-boiler and cooling-tower systems. Thirty preprogrammed methods address eighteen important water-quality parameters, with particular focus on oxygen scavengers and silicates that influence corrosion, scale and system efficiency. An innovative optical design—LEDs, narrow-band interference filters, focusing lens, silicon photodiode and reference detector—limits errors from light-source variation and cuvette defects, delivering stable photometric performance. Absorbance mode supports CAL Check™ verification and custom concentration-versus-absorbance curves at selectable wavelengths (420 nm, 466 nm, 525 nm, 575 nm and 610 nm). A digital pH electrode input accepts compatible 3,5 mm jack glass electrodes (not included); chip-stored calibration data and a sensor-tip thermistor allow electrode swapping without recalibration and automatic temperature compensation. Dual USB ports provide data transfer and 5 V supply, while the internal 3,7 V lithium-polymer battery enables about 500 photometric measurements or 50 hours of pH operation off-grid. This split-beam diode photometer from manufacturer Hanna Instruments is supplied as one 230 V unit for boiler and cooling-water laboratories.

Questions about Multiparameter photometer and pH meter for Boilers & Cooling towers (230V)
What is this article?
Multiparameter photometer and pH meter for Boilers & Cooling towers (230V) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hanna Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in Dissolved oxygen & multiparameter meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Instruments de précision.
A dissolved-oxygen meter reads oxygen in a liquid, optically or with a Clark cell. A multiparameter meter adds pH, conductivity or both on one instrument. The sensor cap or the membrane is the consumable. A reading in air and a reading in water are different calibrations.
A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
