Description
Nalgene™ graduated cylinder with PMP graduations is a 10 ml measuring cylinder made of polymethylpentene (PMP) that meets ASTM Class B accuracy requirements according to E1272. It also fulfils CFR 21 Part 177.1520 and all requirements of ISO 6706. Embossed graduations run from 0,8 ml to 10 ml in 0,2 ml increments with a tolerance of ±0,2 ml, supporting precise routine volume work. The round cylinder features a hexagonal base for stability and a generous pouring spout. Calibration is both To Contain and To Deliver. The PMP construction is autoclavable and rated to a maximum temperature of 145 °C. Overall height is 4,34 in, outer diameter 1,03 in and inner diameter 0,53 in. These durable laboratory cylinders from manufacturer Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics are supplied as a case of 24 units (one piece per pack), offering clear, chemically resistant plasticware for analytical and general laboratory measuring applications where Class B performance is specified.

Questions about Nalgene™ PMP Plastic Graduated Cylinders
What is this article?
Nalgene™ PMP Plastic Graduated Cylinders is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Measuring cylinders, inside Volumetric glassware, in Matériel de laboratoire.
A measuring cylinder is the tall graduated vessel for a volume that does not need volumetric-flask accuracy. Class A and class B differ in tolerance. Reading the bottom of the meniscus, at eye level, is part of using it.
Volumetric glassware is glass that has been calibrated to contain or to deliver one stated volume at a reference temperature. That calibration is the whole point. Class A and class AS have a tighter tolerance than class B. A volumetric flask contains. A pipette and a burette deliver. A measuring cylinder is the coarser reading, used when the volume is not the result. The classes sit under ISO laboratory glassware. The chain back to the unit of volume is the work of the BIPM and of NIST.
Which category should I open next?
