Description

neoCulture cell scrapers are 230 mm long tools designed to reach every area inside cell culture flasks. Each scraper has a freely rotatable polyethylene (PE) blade 19,5 mm wide; a light finger pressure on the handle adjusts the blade angle so the edge follows the vessel floor. The handle is made of ABS and the blade of PE. Units are individually packed, sterilised by gamma irradiation, DNase/RNase-free and non-pyrogenic, supporting clean handling in cell culture workflows. These scrapers from manufacturer neolab - Labor help harvest adherent cells gently and completely from flasks and similar vessels. The rotatable blade reduces the need to reposition the whole tool when working along curved or flat surfaces. Pack size is 150 pieces, suited to high-throughput culture laboratories that require consistent, ready-to-use scrapers for routine cell recovery and monolayer work.

This article is part of Cell strainers, inserts & scrapers, in Cell culture.

Questions about neoCulture Zellschaber ABS, 230 mm lang, mit drehbarer Klinge PE 19,5 mm breit,

What is this article?

neoCulture Zellschaber ABS, 230 mm lang, mit drehbarer Klinge PE 19,5 mm breit, is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes neolab for laboratory use. It sits in Cell strainers, inserts & scrapers, inside Cell culture, in Milieux microbiologiques.

A cell strainer is a sterile mesh, often 40 µm or 70 µm, that gives a single-cell suspension. An insert is a membrane cup that hangs in a well so two compartments share a medium. A scraper lifts adherent cells mechanically. Mesh size, pore size and sterility are the specification.

Cell culture grows cells outside the body. The medium, often with serum, supplies what the flask does not. A flask or a dish is the vessel, treated so the cells attach or left untreated so they float. Contamination by microbes, or by another cell line, is the ordinary failure. Cold-chain articles in this work, including serum, are never part of free standard delivery. Lines are catalogued by ATCC. Papers are on PubMed. Practice is summarised by the WHO laboratory biosafety topic.
