Aluminium construction supports extremely fast cooling together with a prolonged cooling effect, helping maintain stable conditions during temperature-sensitive work such as PCR. The bores are shaped for optimal heat transfer and to keep tubes seated securely, limiting sample loss from accidental tip-out. Even temperature distribution is achieved with pre-cooled or pre-warmed use, and also without separate pre-tempering. Low space demand allows placement on any ice bath, in customary water baths or on hot plates. The layout works smoothly with multichannel pipettes and is suitable for 96-well microplates as well as 8- and 12-tube strips. Compact sample positioning further supports one-handed handling of screw caps.
