Description
Orion™ Star A and Versa Star™ electrode holder head is a redesigned electrode stand accessory for orderly multi-probe setups at the bench. Recognizable slots support adjustable probe heights so smaller sample volumes can be used for testing, while simple removal from the clamps speeds electrode maintenance. A 20° angle position for gas-sensitive ISEs helps avoid air bubbles on the sensor for more reliable readings, and a dedicated stirrer connection accepts the Orion Star stirrer probe for quick sample mixing. A fixed front slot works with ATC probes via the supplied adapter or with other 12 mm diameter probes. Contents include the redesigned holder head for up to six electrodes and sensors, an ATC probe adapter and an RDO probe mount; the electrode arm and base are required separately. From manufacturer Thermo Scientific, this head updates existing swing-arm stands (090043) or replaces the head on Orion Star A and Versa Star electrode arms and holders (STARA-BEA). Supplied as one piece for laboratory electrode handling.

Questions about Orion™ Star A Series Electrode Holder for Electrode Stands Electrode
What is this article?
Orion™ Star A Series Electrode Holder for Electrode Stands Electrode is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Equipment LED for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Instruments de laboratoire.
A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.
A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
