Description
P-14 Rotor Mill is a high-performance laboratory mill for rapid, effective comminution of soft to medium-hard, brittle and fibrous materials as well as temperature-sensitive samples. Operating on 200-240 V/1~, 50-60 Hz with a powerful 2.700 Watt motor, the instrument combines impact, shearing and cutting action in a single device. The impact rotor reaches 2.000–24,000 rpm with peripheral speeds up to 121,9 m/s, while the cutting rotor operates at 2.000–18,000 rpm up to 79,2 m/s. Final fineness ranges from 0,08 mm to 6 mm (d50) depending on the sieve used, and throughput can exceed 15 l/h. Unique dual functionality allows conversion between rotor mill and cutting mill simply by exchanging rotors and accessories, ideal for plastics, fibres and tough materials. Patented cooling of grinding parts, high air throughput and temperature sensing protect sensitive samples; liquid nitrogen embrittlement is supported. Intelligence-Safety-Control, clean design, removable dust filter and quiet operation according to DIN EN complete the system. The P-14 from Fritsch is suited to pilot-scale grinding in plastics and materials laboratories requiring fast sample throughput and flexible rotor configurations.

Questions about P-14 Variable Speed Rotor Mill 200-240 V/1~, 50-60 Hz, 2,700 watts
What is this article?
P-14 Variable Speed Rotor Mill 200-240 V/1~, 50-60 Hz, 2,700 watts is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Fritsch for laboratory use. It sits in Mills, grinders & homogenisers, inside Test sieves & mills, in Instruments de laboratoire.
A mill, grinder or homogeniser reduces particle size or breaks a tissue before an extraction. The rotor and the sieve insert decide the result. A knife mill and a bead mill are different machines. The sample has to tolerate the heat the motor puts into it.
A test sieve sorts particles by whether they pass an opening. Wire mesh and perforated plate are two ways of making that opening, and the nominal size is not a suggestion. A sieve shaker repeats the motion so the result does not depend on how hard someone shook by hand. A mill or grinder makes the particles smaller before they are sieved. The certificate of the sieve, and the opening size, are what an audit asks for. Measurement practice around mass and dimension sits with the BIPM, EURAMET and BELAC.
