Description
Perforator 1000 ml for determination of formaldehyde content according to DIN EN ISO 12460-5 (formerly DIN EN 120:1992) is a complete glass apparatus for the specialised extraction procedure used to quantify formaldehyde release from uncoated and unvarnished wood-based materials. The perforator method enables intensive liquid–liquid extraction with boiling toluene as the solvent. The solvent evaporates continuously, condenses in a reflux condenser and drips onto the extraction sample held in a liquid that is immiscible with the solvent. Formaldehyde is thereby extracted from the wood-based panel and transferred into distilled, demineralised water. The formaldehyde concentration in the aqueous solution is then determined photometrically by the acetylacetone method. Supplied as a complete glass set from manufacturer Landgraf HLL, this 1000 ml unit supports the exact steps and conditions defined by the standard so that manufacturers, testing laboratories and regulatory bodies can obtain accurate, reproducible results and verify conformity with formaldehyde emission requirements for wood-based materials. Pack size is 1 piece; net weight 5 kg.

Questions about Perforator 1000 ml Determination of the formaldehyde content DIN EN ISO
What is this article?
Perforator 1000 ml Determination of the formaldehyde content DIN EN ISO is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Landgraf HLL for laboratory use. It sits in Soxhlet & extraction apparatus, inside Distillation & extraction glassware, in Matériel de laboratoire.
A Soxhlet extractor washes a solid with clean hot solvent over and over: the chamber fills, siphons, and fills again. The extractor, the flask and the condenser are sized together. The thimble holds the solid. Extractor size is given as the siphon volume.
Distillation separates liquids by boiling point. A condenser turns the vapour back into liquid: Liebig, coil and cold-finger shapes differ in how much cooling surface they offer. A still head and a column sit between the flask and the condenser. A Soxhlet extractor washes a solid again and again with the same solvent. Ground joints have a standard size, and the joint, not the flask, is what has to match. The pieces are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
Which category should I open next?
The category is Distillation & extraction glassware. The sub-category is Soxhlet & extraction apparatus. The catalogue is Matériel de laboratoire.
Shelves beside this one are Distillation heads, adapters & columns, Condensers and Ground-joint glassware (other).
What should I check before I order?
When this page shows a safety data sheet, use that manufacturer file. Hazard text does not belong in the sales description. For a pack size, a grade or a certificate that is not on the page, send a quote request or contact the team.
