Description

Perovskite PbCsX3 QD, ROTI®nanoMETIC Lambda max. 550 ±15 nm, UN-Nr. 2291

Quantum Dots (QD)

ROTI®nanoMETICQuantum dots (QD) are fluorescent nanoparticles of certain semiconducting materials, whose electronic properties closely depend on the size of the particles. The fluorescence wavelength shifts towards red for larger particles, and to blue for the smaller ones. This allows coverage of the complete visible colour spectrum with quantum dots of different sizes and yet the same material. The possibility to control the size of the particles during their manufacturing, allows to precisely adjust their electronic and fluorescent properties. The inorganic nature of quantum dots makes them far more stable than organic fluorescent dyes.

Quantum Dots

Perovskite, hydrophobic, Cd-freePerovskite quantum dots of structure PbCsX3 are Cd-free (Pb-based) and highly luminescent quantum dots. The surface of the quantum dots was modified with hydrophobic organic ligands. These quantum dots are easily dispersible in hexane, cyclohexane, toluene, chloroform, THF, pyridine and similar solvents but not in water, alcohols and ethers. The products are supplied as powder in 2 ml vials with septum. Thus, the quantum dots can be dispersed directly in the vial with the desired solvent. The perovskite quantum dots are ideal for industrial applications and can be produced on a large scale.

Questions about Perovskite PbCsX3 QD, ROTI®nanoMETIC Lambda max. 550 ±15 nm, 5 mg, glass

What is this article?

Perovskite PbCsX3 QD, ROTI®nanoMETIC Lambda max. 550 ±15 nm, 5 mg, glass is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in Nanomaterials & quantum dots, inside Inorganic chemicals, in Produits chimiques de laboratoire et industriels.

A nanomaterial is defined by a particle size that changes how it behaves. A quantum dot's optical emission depends on that size. The stated diameter, the surface coating and the concentration are the specification. The bulk powder of the same composition is not this product.

An inorganic chemical is a salt, an acid or base in solid form, a metal, an oxide, or an element. The waters of hydration are part of the formula: a hydrate and an anhydrous salt are different masses for the same ion. Trace metals matter when the salt will be used in analysis. Nanomaterials add particle size to the specification. Look the substance up on PubChem. Hazard classes are on ECHA, under the CLP Regulation and REACH. Transport of the dangerous ones is explained by the UNECE.

Which category should I open next?

The category is Inorganic chemicals. The sub-category is Nanomaterials & quantum dots. The catalogue is Produits chimiques de laboratoire et industriels.

Shelves beside this one are Inorganic salts and Metals, elements & oxides.

What should I check before I order?

The technical information on this page is the manufacturer's sheet. Read that, not a rewritten specification.

When this page shows a safety data sheet, use that manufacturer file. Hazard text does not belong in the sales description. For a pack size, a grade or a certificate that is not on the page, send a quote request or contact the team.

How does ordering and shipping work?

Luminix Health distributes this article from the heart of Europe. Articles in stock ship within 2–5 business days. Standard delivery is free from €250 excl. VAT. Cold-chain goods and dangerous goods under ADR are never included in that free delivery. The terms are in the Shipping Policy. The full brand index is on shop by brand. Who we are is on about us.
