The HI97715C ammonia medium range photometer is a portable, battery-powered instrument for photometric determination of ammonia from 0 to 10,00 mg/L as ammonia-nitrogen by the Nessler method; results can also be shown as ammonia or ammonium. Dedicated single-parameter meters in the HI97xxx series from manufacturer Hanna Instruments succeed the HI96xxx line and combine reliability and accuracy with simple operation. An advanced optical system uses an LED with a narrow-band interference filter for precise, repeatable readings. The optics are sealed against dust, dirt and external water, and the holder positions round 24,6 mm cuvettes consistently. CAL Check with NIST-traceable standards enables performance verification and recalibration at any time. A built-in tutorial guides sample preparation and reagent volumes step by step. German menu guidance, storage of 200 readings, GLP with last calibration recall, automatic shut-off, battery-level display, reaction timer and clear error messages support routine use. The IP67-rated unit runs on three 1,5 V AA batteries for more than 800 measurements, uses wavelengths of 525 nm and 610 nm with a silicon photocell detector, and is supplied in a carrying case including standards for field and laboratory ammonia monitoring in water.
