The HI97717C high-range phosphate photometer is a portable, battery-powered instrument for measuring orthophosphate in water from 0,0 to 30,0 mg/L at 0,1 mg/L resolution. Accuracy at 25 °C is ±1,0 mg/L ±4 % of reading. It applies an amino-acid method adapted from Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, 23rd Edition, in which orthophosphate forms a blue colour complex. Phosphate monitoring supports control of agricultural runoff, drinking-water treatment and corrosion protection in pipes, boilers and cooling towers. The HI97xxx series from manufacturer Hanna Instruments uses an advanced LED optical system with a narrow-band interference filter at 525 nm for precise, repeatable measurements. Optics are sealed against dust, dirt and water, and the holder ensures consistent placement of round 24,6 mm cuvettes. CAL Check with NIST-traceable standards, tutorial mode, German menu guidance, GLP, data logging, automatic shut-off, battery indicator, reaction timer and clear error messages aid reliable routine analysis. The meter is supplied in a carrying case with two capped cuvettes, plastic inserts, CAL Check™ standards, scissors, cleaning cloth, three 1,5 V AA batteries, quality certificate and manual; required reagents are ordered separately.
