Photometer for silver HI97737C is a portable, battery-powered photometer for photometric determination of silver in water from 0,000 to 1,000 mg/L as Ag. Resolution is 0,001 mg/L with accuracy of ±0,020 mg/L ±5 % of reading at 25 °C. Measurement follows a method adapted from the PAN procedure. An advanced optical system uses an LED with a narrow-band interference filter at 575 nm and a silicon photocell detector for stable, repeatable results; sealed optics protect against dust, dirt and water, and the holder seats each round 24,6 mm cuvette in the same position every time. Supplied in a carrying case from manufacturer Hanna Instruments, the set includes two measuring cuvettes with caps, plastic inserts, NIST-traceable CAL Check™ standards, scissors, cleaning cloth, three 1,5 V batteries, quality certificate and operating manual. CAL Check™ enables performance verification and recalibration whenever required, while tutorial mode walks the user through sample preparation and reagent volumes. Further functions comprise GLP with last calibration date and time, storage of the last 50 readings, reaction timer, battery status, automatic shut-off and clear error messages. Required reagents are ordered separately. Silver monitoring supports pool and wellness disinfection control as well as detection of contamination linked to surface-finishing processes.
