Description

Ash-free quantitative filter paper provides fast filtration for laboratory separations of bulky precipitates. Produced exclusively from pure cotton cellulose fibres, this grade has a maximum ash content of 0,002 %. Its rapid filtration speed makes it suitable for retaining voluminous precipitates such as iron hydroxide as well as numerous metallic sulfides. The paper has a grammage of 80 g/m², a pore size of 10–15 µm and a thickness of 250 µm, and is supplied as round filters. With a diameter of 90 mm and a pack size of 100 pieces from manufacturer Labbox, these cellulose filters support quantitative work where low ash residue is required. The grade is equivalent to Whatman 43 and is intended for applications that combine fast flow with retention of gelatinous or metallic sulfide precipitates. This pure cotton cellulose construction delivers reliable performance for analytical filtration tasks, offering defined pore structure and consistent thickness for everyday quantitative laboratory use.

This article is part of Filter paper, in Filtration.

Questions about Ashless quantitative filter paper, high flow rate, 90 mm, 100 pcs

What is this article?

Ashless quantitative filter paper, high flow rate, 90 mm, 100 pcs is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Filter paper, inside Filtration, in Consommables.

Filter paper is a cellulose sheet of a stated retention and speed. Qualitative paper clarifies. Quantitative, ashless paper is for a precipitate that will be weighed or ashed, because the paper itself leaves almost no ash. The diameter has to match the funnel.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
